2018 My Top 7 Highlights Dec 30 Written By Sonya Dreizler The most popular, controversial, and most engaged content I've put out in 2018. Best Introductory ContentI wrote a series of articles and a glossary for companies and advisors who are learning about the impact investing, ESG, and SRI space. ESG vs. SRI and What is Impact Investing were top reads from that group. Most Popular Impact Interview I love sharing impact success stories and interviewed five impact investing leaders this year. The most clicked on interview is a great story from Trillium of winning equal opportunity employment protection for LGBTQ employees through shareholder engagement success. Most Controversial in the Impact CommunityYou all flooded my inbox with replies to this recent post about indexing and impact. The responses ranged from celebratory to the opposite, as well as ideas and suggestions. Next year I'll dive deeper and share some of the wide ranging perspectives on this topic. Taking a Risk and Going Off ScriptLast month I went off script from my usual impact investing talk, to address the lack of racial diversity in the impact investing space. To my surprise the talk was a resounding success, including a standing ovation. You can see a short clip at the top of this page. Women and ImpactI moderated a panel of phenomenal experts at the Investment News Women Advisor Summit (WAS). It was such a success and so enjoyable that I've joined the WAS advisory board to help bring excellent Impact and ESG discussion to all 6 cities in 2019. Most Talked About PodcastOn the 2050 Trailblazers podcast, I was candid and honest about a wide range of topics about the intersection of race and financial services. That podcast conversation has sparked many other conversations both online and offline and I'm grateful to have been a guest on one of my favorite shows. Most Engaged LinkedIn DiscussionWant to see ideas and thoughts about making financial services more diverse and inclusive? This online discussion has a variety of perspectives and continues to spark conversation months after I first posted it. PersonalRace & GenderESG & ImpactESG and ImpactRace and Gender Sonya Dreizler
